Welcome to the 48th »Deutscher Historikertag«!

Between the 28th of September and the 1st of October 2010 the Departement of History at Humboldt-University in Berlin will be the host of Europe's largest convention in humanities - the 48th »Deutscher Historikertag«. The convention stands under the patronage of the Mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, and the President of Humboldt-University, prof. Christoph Markschies.

With 75 panels, an estimated number of more than 3,000 participants and special arrangements in the Pergamon Museum and the German Historical Museum, but also with a colorful program throughout the entire cultural and historical landscape of Berlin, the convention will give a comprehensive view of all aspects, ages and different areas of historical science. The convention invites not only historians, but is open to everybody who is interested in history and wants to know more about historiography and its importance for the present.
