Accompanying Program
Rundgang auf dem Gelände der ehemaligen Städtischen Arbeitsanstalt (Riebeckstraße 63)
Riebeckstraße 63 was a site of crystallization of social exclusion across the political systems of the 19th and 20th centuries. In 1892, the "Forced Labor Institution in St. Georg" was opened at Riebeckstraße 63. The building complex is largely preserved today. The location became synonymous with repressive social policies, stigmatization, exclusion, and forced labor. The tour takes visitors through the current area and tells the history and stories of the site.
Another tour will be offered on Friday, September 22nd from 1:30-2:30 pm.
Binding registration via begleitprogramm@historikertag.de until September 1st, 2023.
