In a workshop of approx. 90 minutes, generally interested participants will be introduced to the analysis of tweets and the visualisation of results with the help of the statistics programme R-Studio. The focus is not on collecting the tweets themselves, because this is regulated by individual accounts and access rights. Instead, participants will work on a clearly defined source corpus, the survey parameters of which will be made transparent. The basics of R-Studio and the possibilities of analysing tweets will be introduced. Data formats, characteristics of tweets and result analyses will be discussed. Those interested should be able to evaluate the sample data set on their own PC with RStudio and thus explore the potential of this software independently.
