Guided tour: permanent exhibition (English)

The permanent exhibition "Our History. Dictatorship and Democracy after 1945" shows the development of Germany from the end of the Second World War to the present in a globalised 21st century. Our guided tour highlights central issues in the exhibition: Why was the GDR established? Who held power there? How did people live, work, celebrate and exchange ideas? Why did the state fail? How have the two German states grown together since 1990? What questions and worries do people have today?
