The "Generation Z" primarily obtains their information through social media, but rarely reflects on the significance of the algorithms. This is where the hands-on workshop comes in: the control of history-related content on the platforms TikTok and YouTube becomes practically experienceable for the participants. Based on this, the question is discussed of what significance the algorithm has for historical education and what implications arise for teaching practices.
