The Sorbs in Germany – between traditional costume and digital worlds

Located directly at the Institut für Sorabistik - the only one in the world - we want to explore the Slavic people of the Sorbs who live in the south of Brandenburg and the east of Saxony.

The event aims to provide a brief overview of Sorbian history, to demonstrate why Leipzig is important to the Sorbs and to address pressing questions of Sorbian contemporary issues. Last but not least, the event will offer an insight into the diverse Sorbian (digital) media world.

This event is not barrier-free.
