SUMMARY:[Historikertag 2023] Fragiles auf Fotos. Führung durch die Ausstellung “Jüdisches Album”
DESCRIPTION:The exhibition showcases selected photographs by Rita Ostrovska which document places of traditional Jewish life in Ukraine and their transformations due to the massive emigration of Jews in the 1990s. Furthermore, the artist captured the lives of Jewish immigrants after their arrival in the USA, Israel and Germany with her camera. In 2001, she photographed her own departure from Ukraine, her family's journey and their arrival in Kassel.
Another tour will be offered on Friday, September 22nd from 3:00-4:00 PM.
This event is not barrier-free.
